The Washington Wizards hosts the game against the Boston Celtics last April 11, 2011 at the Verizon Center, Washington DC. John Wall and the rest of the Wizards take their final home game in this season as they would not play in the playoffs being at the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference while the Boston Celtics are trying to grab a win to climb up to the 2nd spot in the East which the Heat had one game advantage of them. Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett did not play in the game as their coach decided not to play the big four in the game in preparation for the playoffs.
At the half, the Celtics led by 7 points but the Wizards didn’t gave up yet as they battles up and ties the game at the end of the 3rd quarter. At the fourth quarter, John Wall scored a 3 point shot at the final seconds of the quarter plus a foul which was committed by Carlos Arroyo which he cuts the Boston lead by 1 point. The Celtics led back to 2 points but Jordan Crawford ties the game at 5 seconds remaining in the quarter. The Celtics get in position of the ball but Carlos Arroyo lost the ball and the game went to overtime. At the overtime, Crawford scored a big three which they led by 3 points and the Celtics did not recover and lose the game by 1, 95-94 Wizards. John Wall scored 21 points with 9 rebounds to be named as the player of the game.
